The Moygownagh Ramblers came together on Thursday, April 20th 2023, with a small but determined group meeting at the back of St. Cormac's Church, to discuss ways in which to entice people out to meet and connect with each other, in the aftermath of the stress and fear that evolved from the Covid-19 pandemic. Following on from the Open Forum to establish a drop-in chat group, parishioners of all ages and genders are invited to partake in, or sit and enjoy music, song, dance, card games, or story telling in our new Rambling House, beside Moygownagh Community Centre, whilst sharing chat, tea and refreshments.

It was hoped that people would immerse themselves back into the company of friends and neighbours, bi-monthly, in a safe space, after living through the stringent restrictions, imposed on their former social liberties. Thank you to everyone who has embraced this ethos, by participating in song, music and banter, and also to our colleagues who pampered us with their culinary treats. Your ongoing generosity is what has made our Ramblers Group a success story.

Our Rambling House meets every second Thursday at 7.30pm in the Learning Forum, beside Moygownagh Community Centre. All are welcome to simply drop in for a chat, a cup of tea and take part in our activities. See the Moygownagh Facebook page for more information or our parish newsletter.
