In association with St Cormac’s (Heritage) Society, Moygownagh GAA Club have been gathering records relating to the club and local community’s history in Moygownagh. These records are now being digitised and included in our Moygownagh Archives. We look forward to sharing part of our own heritage with our community, relations and friends and those who have just discovered our parish, within North Mayo, in the heart of the west of Ireland.

MOYGOWNAGH OLD GRAVEYARD, COUNTY MAYO DIGITAL SURVEY PROJECT, 14-15 Oct 2016
Led by John Tierney of Eachtra.ie and HistoricGraves.com, local volunteers from the community of Moygownagh in North Mayo, digitally surveyed all the extant graves in their old parish graveyard in Knockaculleen townland. The result is the first digitally surveyed graveyard in County Mayo, which is now searchable here. The project was part-funded through the Local Diaspora Engagement Fund.
